Products
Introduced in 1994, the IPS Hybrid Key
Telephone System marked BBST’s entry into the
US
telecom market. The
compact, simple design and remarkable feature/ price ratio of the IPS made it
the first telephone system sold in retail stores, such as Staples, Office
Depot, and CompUSA. The IPS won multiple industry awards including product of
the year and Innovations ‘98 at the winter CES show. Its improved
efficiency, enhanced professional image, and Windows-based administration
make the IPS an ideal small or home office (SOHO) solution.
In 1997, BBST launched the Plexus Hybrid
Digital Telephone family, aimed at small-to-medium businesses. The Plexus
systems are powerful, digital phone systems with all of the features of
high-end systems at a price small to medium size businesses can afford. The
Plexus family scales up to 128 ports, includes fully integrated voice mail
and automated attendant, provides Windows-based administration, and enables
remote programming. The Plexus integrated Voice Mail sets a new benchmark
with a price, level of flexibility, and capacity for growth unrivaled in the
industry. The unique architecture allows the new Plexus CTI to leverage the
best of the embedded PBX and server-based LANs. Through its combination of
voice and data technologies, it delivers a turnkey solution capable of
Internet telephony and more. Current R&D efforts ensure that the Plexus
family will continue to gain market share in the converging communications
market.
Markets
BBST continues to expand its worldwide
distribution through dealer networks and OEMs (original equipment
manufacturer) to offer communications systems in over 40 countries.
BBST products are sold
through a growing number of select value-added dealers and interconnects in the United States
. OEM agreements with
leading telecommunication equipment suppliers in Japan, Korea, and Brazil,
expand distribution in Asia, Latin America, and Europe.
