Introduced
in 1994, the IPS Hybrid-Key Telephone System was BBS Telecom's entry into
the US
telecom
market. Hailed as the first "do-it-yourself" telephone system, the IPS
continues to receive abundant praise from the industry with awards from
several trade publications and most recently the Innovations '98 award at
the 1998 International Winter Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las
Vegas. The compact, user-friendly design and remarkable feature/price
ratio of the IPS gained the attention of retail buyers from several large
national chains. The IPS was the first telephone system sold in retail
stores such as Staples, Office Depot, and Comp
USA
. The IPS is
targeted at the small business customer. The improved efficiency and
enhanced customer image that the IPS provides such customers and the
user-friendly Windows-based configuration utility make the IPS an ideal
SOHO (Small Office/Home Office)
product.
